Oracle Capital Groups Joins Royal Academy of Arts

Oracle Capital Group is earning an enviable reputation as a leading supporter of the arts – a position it recently enhanced by joining the Royal Academy of Arts in London as a Corporate Member.

The Royal Academy was founded by King George III in 1768 and remains today one of the world’s preeminent art institutions. It has a unique position, being an independent, privately funded body led by eminent artists and architects, whose purpose is to promote the creation, enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts through exhibitions, education and debate.

Recent exhibitions at the Royal Academy have included showcases of works by Anish Kapoor, Vincent Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, David Hockney and Édouard Manet.

The Royal Academy receives no government funding, and so relies on corporate support to sustain not only its exhibitions, learning and architecture programmes, but also its acclaimed art schools.

Promoting the creation, enjoyment and appreciation of the arts is an increasingly important part of Oracle Capital Group’s work, and so support of the Royal Academy was a natural step.

“The people who make up our company have a passion for the arts” explained Yury Gantman, the CEO of Oracle Capital Group. “Over the last 12 months we have supported a range of art exhibitions and events which we are truly proud of. It is exciting to now formalise a close relationship with an esteemed institution like the Royal Academy”.

Recent exhibitions supported by Oracle Capital Group’s Charitable Foundation include the Houghton Revisited exhibition, one of the most historically significant art events in recent years. This exhibition brought back to England art sold over 230 years ago to Catherine the Great of Russia by the estate of the UK’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole.

Other recent events include the performance of violinist Maxim Vengerov in Wigmore Hall, and display of the Chengis Khan sculpture at Marble Arch.
