JP Morgan: Europe HNW concerned about Lack of Global Growth

According to an article in Investment Europe, JP Morgan recently finished a study on over 1000 Investors.  The survey was taken before the crisis in Cyprus.  The study focused on investment concerns as well as prognostication on market performance in 2013.

The study showed that over 45% of High Net Worth Individuals believe that the lack of global growth is the most significant investment concern in 2013.  This ranked above other concerns such as political issues, geopolitical unrest, errors in policy and inflation.

High Net Worth Investors in France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain were also asked which asset class had the most optimistic outlook in 2013 and a majority in all four countries responded that equities had the best outlook in 2013.  Equities was followed by private equity, commodities and hedge funds.  Over 35% of those interviewed said that they had increased their exposure to European equities in the previous six months, and 60% indicated that they would do so in 2013.

28% of those surveyed believe that equities in emerging markets will be the best performers, while 24% believe that the US Equities would be best in 2013.  Least favoured was Japan at 6%.
