Houghton Hall Exhibition: There’s an App for that

Houghton Hall Exhibition: There’s an App for that

The Houghton Revisited exhibition, sponsored by Oracle Capital Group, has been a stunning success. Masterpieces by Van Dyck, Poussin, Rubens, Rembrandt and Velazquez have all been reassembled in their spectacular original setting for the first time in over 200 years, after they were sold to Empress Catherine the Great by Sir Robert Walpole, Great Britain’s first Prime Minister.

The exhibition doesn’t just live in the past, however. It also has its own very modern App to support it, available for free on both iPhone and iPad.

This beautifully designed App gives stunning 360-degree views of all the exhibition rooms at Houghton Hall, with the ability to zoom in on artworks to learn more about their provenance. It provides a truly immersive journey through the Hall with minimal interruption or interference, allowing you to wander from room to room, soaking up the atmosphere, as a guest in the house might once have done.

The exhibition is open until the end of September and a visit is highly recommended. This newly updated App will be sure to encourage you to see the real thing!

The App can be accessed on the iTunes store and it is free to download at the following link: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/houghton-revisited/id660913212?mt=8.
