Future for Youth Foundation Supported by Oracle Capital Group

At the heart of Oracle Capital Group’s philosophy is the belief that only through the active involvement in the lives of others, can a person enrich their own life.

This belief is put into action through the works of the Oracle Capital Charitable Foundation, which has, over the years, provided essential support to a number of organisations and charities, whose missions lie close to our hearts.

The most recent recipient of Oracle Capital Group’s support is the Future for Youth Foundation, a youth unemployment charity dedicated to assisting those young people not in education, employment or training. The foundation’s aim is to prepare young people for the world of work, to assist them to overcome their own personal problems and educational challenges, and to ensure that employers can feel confident that they are ready and willing to take up opportunities.

“We’re very proud to support the Future for Youth Foundation,” said the Earl of Clanwilliam, the Chairman of Oracle Capital Charitable Foundation. “The promotion and support of strong leadership and personal development are central to so much of the work our charitable foundation undertakes”.

The Future for Youth Foundation was recently established by the Rt Hon David Blunkett, the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, and a member of Tony Blair’s Cabinet for eight years from 1997. Mr Blunkett recently joined Oracle Capital Group’s Advisory Board.

“With the recent September unemployment figures for the under-25s showing another increase in the long term unemployed, and with the recent research document from the Institute for Public Policy Research showing that number of out of work young people who have never worked – 640,000 – is only just below the number who have worked at some point – 650,000, this is a moment when it is all hands to the pump,” explained Mr Blunkett.

“Oracle Capital Group’s support is therefore both essential and welcomed,” he continued. “Every contribution to this important endeavour, linked as it is to funding from the Government, will make a critical difference to the lives of young people in the most disadvantaged areas, and to our economic and social wellbeing as a society”.
