Business Jet Dassault Falcon expands Russian operations

Dassault Falcon, a family of business jets produced by Dassault Aviation of France, is expanding its operations in Russia in an effort to serve the growing business jet market in the region. The company recently presented the Falcon 7X and Falcon 2000LX at the Jet Expo (September 27-29) in Vnukovo 3 aviation terminal.

The surging demand for business jets in Russia has prompted Dassault to aggressively market the Falcon 7X as well as increasing the sales and customer service abilities in Moscow.

Half of the new orders for Falcon in Russia are for the 7X. The Falcon 7X achieves high levels of control, safety and flight smoothness by the use of a fully digital flight control system – the only business jet to do so. Business flyers based in Moscow are attracted to the 7X due to its ability to fly non-stop to destinations such as New York, Johannesburg and Singapore. Another highlight of the jet is its ability to operate at challenging airports such as London City Airport, as well as small airfields such as La Mole -St. Tropez.

Dassault has plans to expand its customer service in Moscow with an agreement with Avia Group to set up a Falcon Authorized Service Center at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport. Additionally, the existing satellite service center at Vnukovo Airport will be moving into improved premises at the Vnukovo-3 executive aviation terminal.

Dassault was one of the first aircraft manufacturers from the west to establish a presence in Russia. The company is hoping that it’s advanced fleet, featuring the Falcon 7X, in addition to increased customer service, will continue to hold a significant share of Russia’s large cabin business jet market.
