An Exciting Night of Historic Fine Wines and Spirits

Last month Oracle Paradis Wine Fund hosted an event   in Central London.  Guests included private bankers, art people, wealth managers and a host of other professionals who were treated to a night of spectacular vintage wines and spirits.

Oracle Paradis Wine Fund was launched in December 2012 as a high yield, low risk Fund which utilizes expertise and key Wine and Spirit Industry partners to create diverse, unique and efficient investment opportunities.  The recent event introduced guests to the Wine Fund, its strengths and its strategies.  More importantly, the guests were able to learn about specific wines and spirits – being led through a spoken history of certain vintages and given an extraordinary opportunity to sample some of the rare wines and spirits which showcase the value of the Fund.

Some of the exciting wines sampled at the event included Caves Bourdy Cotes du Jura 1947, Cahors 1926, Chateau Haut-Brion 1881,  Leacock Madeira Sercial 1870 and The Absolutely legendary Grand Constance Blanche  Circa 1795.  This last, the Grand Constance 1795 is of particular note not just for its age but for its popularity with the European nobility.  British Authors Jane Austen and Charles Dickens both write about this wine in their classic novels, while Napoleon himself demanded it during his exile on St. Helena.

Also presented during the event were an Oldfields 1878 Fine Champagne Cognac and the Vedette Ginger Brandy 1867.  These rare and exotic wines and spirits were enjoyed by the guests of the event, who understood that this was a unique opportunity to sample these examples of living history.

While enjoying the wonderful wines and spirits, the guests also were told of the investment strategies that Oracle Paradis Wine Fund and Oracle Paradis Rare Spirits Fund are employing.  Specifically, Oracle Paradis is leveraging its expertise in the market to invest in a more diverse collection as well as a focus on actively trading Wines And Spirits with a strong collector demand.  For example, in addition to investing in traditional or classic wines from Rhone and Champagne, Oracle Paradis also invests in world class wines from Barolo, Italy and Vega Sicilia Spain as well as rare collector’s wines such as early vintage port, 18th and 19th century Madeira and Imperial era Tokaji.  In terms of rare spirits, there is a focus on rare 18th and 19th century cognacs, and pre-1940 Scotch whiskies.

It was a highly successful evening for all involved – a special night which allowed guests to taste and experience wines and spirits that only a select few are ever lucky enough to enjoy.  One guest called it  “a time machine…”  allowing them to share in history by partaking in IT “ ..these wines and spirits which survived revolutions, wars and regime changes”.
