funds to include them in its alternative asset
allocation, which it recommends is never more
than 5% of a portfolio. Head of investment services
Kirill Ganin says due to film’s potential risk they
are extremely vigilant in their due diligence. “The
managers of the funds we look at usually have
direct experience in the film industry. We look to
invest in films with big names and international
appeal, and where funds have a successful track
record in terms of making good returns.
