Oracle Capital Group Chairman to Speak at Major Family Wealth Management Event in China

The Chairman of Oracle Capital Group, Martin Graham, is to be a key speaker at the 2nd Annual Family Wealth Management & Succession Forum and Fujian Enterprises’ Outbound Investment Forum in China in the middle of June. The Forum takes place in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, on 17-18 June 2015.

Oracle Capital Group has been serving an increasing number of Chinese clients in the past two years, so it is fitting that Mr Graham speak on, “The Necessity and Feasibility for Foreign Institutes to set up a Family Office in China”. The Oracle Chairman will consider prospects for the family wealth management market in China; which cities in China would be suitable for foreign financial institutes to open branches; what kind of Chinese institutes are likely to be chosen as partners by foreign institutes; partnership strategies; and platform strategies.

On this last point, Mr Graham will especially address the issue of how to build an international family wealth management advisory platform which integrates with China’s domestic financial and non-financial services to jointly provide wealthy Chinese families with one-stop international family wealth management services.

As clients of Oracle Capital Group are aware, the company has expanded its offering exactly to the point where it is a “one-stop shop”; Oracle Capital Group provides sound guidance on investments and wealth management, with the correct insurance and legal advice; whilst also being able to advise on more personal issues such as where to live and which schools are suitable for clients’ children.

Mr Graham is well qualified to speak on this subject, having a long history working in financial services. He was director of markets and chairman of AIM at the London Stock Exchange for six years, where he was responsible for over $500m of revenues and 75 per cent of group profits. He led the exchange’s growth strategy, resulting in a five-fold increase in market size between 2003 and 2008. In addition he was instrumental in building the company’s international franchise. He sits on a number of boards, including the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The Forum will examine both issues which are specific to China, such as the current situation for family offices in China and the expected development of the sector; and wider Asian matters, such as “Understanding Asia’s Ultra-Wealthy Population” and a case study of Japanese Family Wealth Succession.

Some 500 people are expected to attend the Forum, of which around 200 will be entrepreneurs from the Asia region.
