Oracle Capital Group Chairman to Address China Private Wealth Management Forum 2014 in Shanghai

The Chairman of Oracle Capital Group, Martin Graham, is to give a Keynote Address to this year’s China Private Wealth Management Forum, which will take place in Shanghai on 20 June. Mr Graham will speak about, The Family Office – the Key to Sustainable Family Wealth.

There has been phenomenal growth in the number of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) in China over the last five years. In 2012 the country’s HNWI population grew by almost 10%, reaching 3.68m people, and wealth grew by 12.2% to US$12 trillion. This rise was helped by China’s 5.5% GDP growth, which is more than double the global average.

However, the wealth management industry in China is not keeping up with this growth. A shortage of professionals in this field, uncertainty over tax policy and the increasingly sophisticated investment philosophy of Chinese HNWIs have all seriously hindered the creation of an international wealth management centre like Switzerland, Luxembourg or the United Kingdom. This Forum will aim to give Chinese HNWIs the best information and ideas for private wealth management.

Mr Graham will speak about the role of the Family Office on behalf of Oracle Capital Group, which was named the Best Family Office of 2013 by Spear’s magazine. He will address issues such as:

  • What HNWI and UNHWIs need: looking beyond asset management
  • Growth and protection of wealth: taking the pressure off and making life comfortable
  • The future of services for HNWI and UNHWIs

Oracle Capital Group has a well-established international reputation and a wealth of global experience. And it is particularly appropriate that Mr Graham should be speaking at the China Private Wealth Management Forum 2014 as Oracle Capital Group is currently forming the Oracle Capital Asia Advisory Board and the Hong Kong Office will be fully operational by the end of this year. Oracle Capital Group considers Asia as one of its major markets for long-term business development.
