More than three-quarters of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) are planning to increase their investments in 2016, according to a survey just published by the deVere Group, one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory consultancies. If so, this will be a marked change from 2015, when many HNWIs were decidedly cautious with their investments.

House prices in the UK rose by 9.7% in the year to January 2016, according to the Halifax, one of Britain’s biggest mortgage lenders. This marks the single biggest annual increase recorded since July 2014, when prices rose by more than 10%.
